Quick read. Was getting over a semi break up myself and was a cute little reality check for me.

This was a great read. It combines all my favorites, dystopian future, cyberpunk, eighties memorabilia and more. I finished it today, and I'm bummed it's done. That's the sign of great book. This being Cline's first book, I will say he absolutely scored. He still needs work on his prose, but from a creative standpoint, I give him five stars. The book just burst onto the scene, as far as I can tell, and from what I've heard the movie rights are already purchased. Good for him!

There is no way to overstate the impact that this/these books had on me. Everything I read for years, perhaps to this very day, is because I read this book when i was 9 years old. It was like a life-line, like a door to an entirely different world that Professor Tolkien had created just for me. An escape from a life that was, at times at least, burdensome, and certainly often boring. There is nothing I can say, no praise I can bestow that wouldn't be superfluous. Everything that can be said about this book has been said. All I will attempt to add is this: I feel a deep pity for anyone whose soul this book cannot reach.

Award-winning author Jennifer Haigh follows her critically acclaimed novels Mrs. Kimble and The Condition with a captivating, vividly rendered portrait of fraying family ties, and the trials of belief and devotion, in Faith. This is a very powerful story. The characters are deeply layered, I found myself clinging to their story. It is a story of how lifes are intertwined and of ripple effects. The drama and mystery are believable. It leaves you wondering what part faith plays in your life - faith in family, faith in yourself, and spiritual faith.
