I don't know, I normally really like Kurt Vonnegut books but I just couldn't get into this one.

Picked this up because Beth (my boss!) wrote about it for our library's spring Staff Favorites brochure. Good writing and a twisty plot that starts out all innocent suburbanish with an old high school classmate showing up at Ivy and David's garage sale. The next day, the visitor is dead--and the last place she was seen was going into Ivy and David's house, with David. I could tell where things were going, but I enjoyed the ride, reading it almost straight through one night.

It raises philosophical questions of morality and faith, of friendship, of the potential horror of unintended consequences. It is unquestionably the best book I've read in years.
