Bu kitabın derinliği ve genişliği beni hayrete düşürdü. Ruanda soykırımına yol açan çok sayıda nedenin çok daha iyi anlaşılmasıyla (sanırım) çıktım. Benim bir eleştirim, Mamdani'nin argümanının sonuna doğru, özellikle de Ruanda Yurtsever Cephesi'ni kapsama alanı içinde gevşemiş gibi görünmesi, 1980-1994 yılları arasındaki tartışmasını belki daha az kesin ve biraz daha az istenir. Bununla birlikte, tarihsel arka planı oluşturmak için, bir soykırım potansiyelinin nasıl var olabileceğini bile anlamaya başlaması için Mamdani mükemmel bir iş çıkarır.

This has SPOILERS, so don't read if don't want to know how it ends. This book sounded so good! I found it through a site that promoted clean Regency romance novels. How it got on there, I don't know. Well...It's about a woman that travels through a wormhole to 1817. She falls in love with Richard, she falls back through her wormhole accidentally. 4 months later Richard shows up, and they end up together. He went through the same wormhole, and ends up being the lost heir of a duke that has been "waiting" for him to show up. He adapts incredibly quickly (receiving emails, etc) and finds his way to being the math chair at Cambridge. Really? All in all, it could have been a good book, but just glossed over too many details, and the characters could only think of getting each others clothes off. Needless to say, I skipped some things. Don't waste your time.
