i like memoirs. this one is about the community the writer found within his neighborhood bar. and how it eventually becomes dismantled.
This was the first book I read 'for pleasure' after college. My mom had been raving about it since it came out, and the rest of the world was just beginning to rave about it. So I thought I'd see what the big deal was. I didn't see it at first, it was just a cute kid's book. That is, until somewhere around half-way through the book ... I was hooked! I found myself day-dreaming about the characters and their adventures. I told all my friends that started to read it, I guarantee you'll be hooked by the time you get half-way through the first book. And we're all fans now.
