I thought this book was interesting and I enjoyed the different viewpoints and life stories of the women. In some ways I thought the organization of the book could have been a bit better as I got kind of a disjointed feeling going from story to story. I would have liked to have an idea how old each woman was while reading her story too, but I can see that maybe they wanted to remain more anonymous than that. Overall, very worthwhile reading.

I loved this book! It was so charming and provided a great insight to WWII. I thought the author did an excellent job creating so many unique characters who were consistent in their writing. I loved Elizabeth and Dawsey, both very rich characters. I loved the idea of books bringing people together. I can't imagine living 5 years without any information from the outside world. Especially during war. I highly recommend this book.
