** spoiler alert ** Page turning story, (read it on a 4 hr flight) I wanted more about Amy and less about Janine. I did find it a little tedious that the author repeatedly told us what a fox she was with her boob-job. I did feel very sorry for her family regarding her sister's death and can't believe the guy only got 18 years in prison. I also thought that the father abused Amy, but it was never clearly stated in the book. Was the author trying to protect the father after she portrayed him as such a creep? It didn't make sense.
Interesting...a little long, and it sometimes felt like it was above my head. Much of the time, though, I really enjoyed it. I did love the way the author played with the ambiguity of the story by using multiple unreliable narrators. The writing was pretty good, although I sometimes felt like the dialogue/lecturing got out of hand. It helped that I read it for my book club, because that's what kept me going during the draggy parts; however, it really picked up in the middle and then I couldn't put it down, long as it was. Overall, intelligent and clever.
