I picked this book out of the new reads at the library on a whim. The story was good - held my attention enough to distract me from the torture of the stair mill at the gym and most of the pain of getting a tattoo - but the sex scenes were a bit excessive. OK book though and good story in between the steamy, overly descriptive sex scenes...

It was an okay book,I was a bit disapointed by the ending.I didn't quite understand it,were they dying or about to make love?I prefer the movie.

Got about a third of the way through. Good book, very interesting, but so dense that unless I had time to spend 45 uninterrupted minutes on a chapter (which had no breaks or ways in which I could put it down between chapters and come back to it without having to start from the beginning of the chapter) to actually finish the chapter, I would lose my place.

Not sure what I think about this one. It kept me reading and wondering, but I am not sure I really enjoyed it. It was creepy at times and just strange at others. It didn't make a ton of sense, but still kept me going. I wanted to know how it ended and then when it did, I felt let down. The only redeemable character died. Huh. Odd choice. I really can't figure out what he was trying to say with this one, if anything. I did enjoy certain parts of it, others left me flat or flat turned me off. I think I may try another of his just to see if I can figure him out, but I would not mark him as a favorite or put him in the same category as other great horror writers. Since I felt compelled to keep reading and read the book quickly, I will give it three stars. I would give it 2-1/2 if I could. Just average rating. Didn't love it, didn't hate it. It fell somewhere in the middle.
