Much better than Disney's version, though I had a hard time following the sequence of events as it jumped around in the beginning. I understood a lot more of The Graveyard Book after reading this. Especially the creepy ancient thing that lives under the hill. Totally get that now.

This book really prompted me to follow up on the subject of the book and find out what happened in real life. Steve Berry always picks subjects that have their basis in history/fact. The Amber Room was a reality and the basis of this story is true- the mystery and intrigue surrounding it's disappearance in WWII. Really fascinating read.
