I'm always fascinated by the work of Oliver Sacks. I thoroughly enjoy his case studies of the strange things that can happen inside the human brain. In The Mind's Eye, he explores how the brain visualizes and what can happen when small areas of the brain or the eyes get damaged. I especially enjoyed learning more about Sacks himself, in the chapter called "Face-Blind." This was a smart, enjoyable read.
