I think this book was kinda a gateway drug to wanting to read more about past lives. As the friends who had recommended it to me promised, it was a quick read. That said, I wanted to know more about how past lives worked and how people can learn more about them. This book is more of a period piece- written in 1988, it was released when people were still very skeptical about all things occult; I think we're much more open to talking about reincarnation, and so the shock value of the book was lost on its reader in 2009. But it was interesting, and since it's a seminal book in the field, I'm glad I read it to know what the fuss was about. Part of me wants to do a past life regression out of curiosity, but most of me is still annoyed by that dimestore psychic who once told me "hm...you are living out some BAD love karma in this life, aren't you?!".

This book talks about how being married and taking your marriage seriously can make you a better person and improve your relationship with God.
