This is a favorite. If I was the type of person who was capable of giving meaningful rankings to individual books, this one would surely make it to the top 5. As it is, I am not one of those people. Suffice it to say that the entire Dark Tower series is a favorite, with Drawing of the Three being my top choice in the series. Everything works in this book. Everything. The improbable mix of characters are among the most fully realized and complex I have ever encountered. I love them as if they were real people. I start to miss them when it's been a while since I last visited their little corner of the literary universe. Can't think of any higher praise than that.

i've started it twice. but i always get sidetracked. it's about architecture and humanity, and is a classic. can't wait till i have some free time!
