Almost done with this, and all I can say is WOW...

i had a parent complain when i gave an excerpt of this to my high school digital photo class. i had to explain to her how sontag's discussion of images of war and torture is relevant to our class discussion about how meaning changes based on the framing and composition of an image and how important it is for students and the general population to think critically about what the mass media presents to us.

A dark part in French History that should not be forgotten. I enjoyed and didn't want it to end.

started strong; interesting character; really slow in many parts, especially secction 4; sex was too graphic for my taste
