AMAZING and wonderful. more later when i am not reading it.
Well, I read it in one sitting, almost immediately after finishing "Catching Fire." I gotta say, though, a bit of a letdown. The casual brutality of the first two books was scarring enough, but this one descends into totally orgiastic violence, so much so that the stuff that packs a true emotional wallop -- especially that one thing, you know what I mean if you've read it -- just kind of gets lost in the rivers of blood and snarling and killing and whatnot. And Katniss is SO hateful in this book that I think only Kristin Stewart can probably do her justice in the movie. Also, they're making MOVIES out of these books!? HOW!? I couldn't even sleep after I finished this series. Maybe moms shouldn't read them.
It's hard to take Mr. Baigent's ultimate conclusion seriously when he cannot produce evidence other than, "I saw it; You have to believe me!" There's plenty of circumstantial evidence to support the general argument Mr. Baigent was making that I don't understand what the point is even bringing up his 'magical paper' .
