Francesca is a terrible example of how a wife should behave.. and hell, they were not even in love, are they? they were nothing but lustful strangers, i think. this book was written well. but the story itself is annoying and so hurtful.

A fun romance with a great mystery. I enjoyed the character of Eleanor and watching her come out of her shell. It was a Cinderella story with many, many twists. I would recommend reading "Scandalous Again" first but you could read this one on it's own.

Nabokov reconceptualizes the genre of autobiography. Have fun gamboling in the memories of his childhood, but also beware of Irony.
