I really enjoyed reading this book. I loved reading about the main character and about his world. My only disappointment was I began to think the author overdid the descriptions of how great and brave he was. I agree he was in many ways, but it started lacking a human element. However reading about one of his greatest adventures (getting his vision back)and his personal struggle with it really balanced the way the book was written. I loved the discussion in the end of the book about the psychology of perception.

It's fun and funny. Everyone fantasizes about what it's like to be famous and have access to all that glitz and glam. This book is a fun way to indulge in that fantasy. A great gift for any drama student.

I really liked this book. A lot. Heroine's mom taught her to hide who/what she is & be ready to run at any instant. Then she gets blackmailed into stealing from a dragon's hoard by a crummy ex-boyfriend. (She takes a penny, but leaves one to replace it.) The dragon chases her, but oddly, doesn't kill her. Because she doesn't bore him. She's oddly intrigued by him too. And there's magic-folk politics, and the slow revelation of just exactly what the heroine is, and the build of a relationship between hero (the dragon--of course) and heroine, and a bunch of really cool stuff. Really. This is a great book. Read it.
