** spoiler alert ** Excellent read - I have a weakness for coming-of-age stories. I find the story of the manipulation of Ender as well as his awareness of that manipulation and response to it fascinating. A wonderful reminder that children are not nearly so clueless as people often think them to be, especially "gifted" children. I found the final chapter to be rather tacked on and less than informative though - I wanted and expected more of a story of a return to Earth and engagement with Peter.

Wardlow is hot!

I did stay up late two nights in a row to finish the book, and as with all of Jodi Picoult's books, it was a controversial topic, well-written, pitted friends and family against each other, and kept me interested. I didn't give the book a higher rating because the plot has become formulaic now for me - I predicted how it would end and I was right, so that took away some of the excitement.
