I thoroughly enjoyed this book--I had a hard time putting it down, and Mitchell moves through settings, styles,etc. like a virtuoso. I was disappointed when it was over. All of that said, I have a sneaking suspicion that the ideas in the book amount to some sort of overly-simpleillustration of interconnectedness and hope. I can't help worrying that the book may be a hallmark card dressed up with (exquisitely-performed) postmodern tricks and gimmicks. If anybody reads this review and has read the book, I'd be very interested to hear your opinion.
