This is a three and half. Why am I rounding down and not up? Not sure... This is a historical fiction based (loosely, I suppose) on the life of Mary Boleyn, the sister of Anne Boleyn, who was briefly Henry VIII's second wife. Turns out Mary was the king's mistress before he got rid of his first wife to marry Anne. It was a good read and Gregory did a good job of creating a sense of the period. What I didn't like was that the sisters were portrayed as all good (Mary) or all bad (Anne). But still, it was enjoyable. I have another book of Gregory's sitting on my dresser and I'm looking forward to reading it.

This is the first Virginia Woolf I've read. It took me a bit to get used to her style. Very jumbled and chaotic. However, half way through the book I enjoyed for that very reason! Worth the read.
