I found this to be a really difficult book to read at times and very easy at others. I enjoyed the overall story, and I liked the plot transitions from current events to the past, but I found myself putting the book down at times because the flow from one chapter to the next was labor intensive. I would have liked more courtroom drama.

Although I kept calling her "Catpiss" I really, really, really love this book.

A very absorbing story about the island of the lepers!

Kate Winslet won for Best Actress in the film adaptation of this book so I wanted to check it out. I wasn't disappointed and thought it was a great, easy, honest, interesting read.
