STARTED OUT SLOWER THAN DIRT, ALMOST TOOK A 1/4 OF THE BOOK TO GET INTO ACTION. VERY GOOD

Butch and Melissa. This was an interesting book for me. When I fist met Butch in Dark Lover I thought that he would be a random side character to the main couple's romance. That was before I knew Ward's writing style and her knack at creating complicated, organic characters. When I first met Melissa, she kinda bothered me b/c she was a foil for Wrath & Beth and I thought that she could go cookie-cutter and be a generic ex. Ward proved me wrong again! Melissa ended up growing on me and I began to like her courage and struggle against the cast she was born into. The best part of this book for me though was V and Butch's bromance. Just perfect :)
