A fantastic historical read for anyone who is interested in the lives people lead under genocidal regimes. The normal people who live and die under brutal government policies. I read this at the same age as Anne was when she wrote her diary which further drove home her words to me.l

Audiobook re-read. Excellent narration by Gomez Pugh.

Now I know lots of people don't like this one, but I really did! I like the way Austen wrote it, with her voice as a sort of narrator and I liked the wild imagination of the heroine, reminds me of myself sometimes. Not as goth as people like to think it is.
