coming of age book about a girl finding her way in the 60's.

I use to think the idea of reading a "kid's" book was rediculous. At one time I vowed I would never read a Harry Potter book. Well, I'm glad I broke that vow. Such a fun book to read.

Sort of like Ruth Rendell - not as gruesome, but just as page-turning. A literary psychological thriller. Great author.
