Years ago, this was my first-ever James Patterson book. I hated it. The snake scene went too far and was completely overboard in my opinion. And for that reason I did not like the book. It also turned me off to the author and I refused to read his stuff until a friend recently convinced me otherwise. I like the Women's Murder Club. But even so, I will not be reading this book again.

I really liked this book. I have always had a strong dislike for what people call "networking," and this book helped me understand that to some extent it's a necessary evil but also that it's OK to approach networking according to your own strengths rather than what some extroverted people think is the right way to do it. For example, I will never be the kind of person who loves to be the center of attention or introduce myself to strangers constantly. But I do have certain strengths that I can use in working with other people that many others may not have. This book also helped me put things in perspective about what an introvert really is and is not. I would have given it 5 stars if there were more meat in the book, but for what it is, I enjoyed it.

what i learn was that some books are fun.
