I thoroughly enjoyed this memoir. It's the story of a young Harvard graduate with a Yeshiva background who finds himself working as a library in a Boston prison. He vividly describes the characters he encounters and thoughtfully inserts interpretive fragments from his own life. Avi Steinberg comes across as funny, humble, and articulate.
