Twilight for adults and I mean that in positive way. Everything that Twilight lacks due its teen audience this book provides in away that I hope other reader of the fictional occult will appreciate and enjoy as well. I highly enjoyed this book. It has a strong plot, well created characters that peel off their various layers of personality as the story develops and the settings (Oxford, France and the US) are well done. I particularly enjoyed the early parts and descriptions of Oxford as it took me back to the time I spent there so many years ago. It is the prefect opening setting for a story of the supernatural in the modern day! I can also honestly say that I am actually excited to be waiting for the next books in this series to come out and see how thing turn for the characters going forward. I feel as if this is a There are few things that prevented me from giving the book five stars. First, I though the "romance" in France dragged a little. Second, I thought Diana's lack of self-recognition of her strength towards the end of the book was a little bothersome. She should not need the Vamp to point that out to her in the later pages. Third, I know that Knights and their Orders were male traditions in the middle ages, but I think the female vamp should be been allowed in to it-- it is now based in the 21st century. Four, some of the dialog seemed stilted and forced--which may been an attempt to get the draw out the characters--but I just found it distracting. All and all, a good read!
