This is Elizabeth George's first novel and is the first in her Inspector Lynley series. I loved it. Again, with George, I felt like I was transported to England and was living and breathing the culture. I felt that way when I read What Came Before He Shot Her, also by George, and much further on in the Lynley series. I had no idea where this book was headed until we got there and that's the way I like mysteries to be, page-turners to the last!. Can't wait to get the next book in the series.

I read this in anticipation of touring Germany with Kristy's cousin, Delos. I learned a good deal about Germany. It has quite a few large cities which serve as regional centers. I learned a lot about Frankfurt and Munich where we were going to go. One thing I learned was BMW stands for Bavarian Motor Works.
