katjamock

I hate nothing more than a book where the author condescendingly explains every thought as though his/her reader couldn't keep up with the completely obvious conclusion they wanted you to draw. Because this author does that to an extreme, I can't give it any more than 2 stars, despite it's intriguing proposition of the true identity of Columbus.

I remember really enjoying this book when I read it. Once again, there is a sort of central mystery to the plot. This seems somewhat of a departure for Atwood, who often writes with a bit of a sci-fi bent, in that it is basically a character study of a nineteenth century female convict, albeit with an interesting twist.

This is just like Buffy! Except this time, it's a retired male Buffy with some Watcher traits. Fast and easy read.
