Man was this book strange. Very heavy-handed in its symbolism, and often I felt that the author used language/sex just to get a rise. But definitely something original. It definitely kept my attention, and who dosen't like reading about circus freaks? But the plot was so convoluted and strange that it's hard to feel any empathy/identify with the characters
