I really enjoyed this book. The characters are well developed and the story is intriguing. It is sad to think that it takes place in the 1960s in Mississippi, rather than the 1860s, because that's what it feels like. At times, the Junior League culture really reminded me of Sorority culture. Definitely a good and fast read and I would recommend it. I'm going to see the movie this week, so I'll see how it compares.
