Another book I couldn't finish. I gave this one 79 pages. Wasn't into the story. It seemed very stilted to me. Returned it to the library without finishing it.

I love reading historical fiction about Chinese culture and history. This book is set in the recent past and gives the reader insight and understanding about living in China under Mao regime.
