I was never an adolescent boy so who am I to judge, but through the entire book I thought, this kid does not sound like a 15-16 year old he sounds like he is 10. Perhaps an oversell of his innocence. Does the ending explain that? Maybe. Putting that aside, I still enjoyed the book and there were a few poignant lines that were very true to life.
