Props to Adams. Shows how ridiculous the other founding fathers were.

The elevator doors open on the ground floor. Christian shakes his head slightly as if to clear his thoughts and gestures for me to exit before him in a most gentlemanly manner. Who’s he kidding? He’s no gentleman. He has my panties. 4.5 Stars I won't lie BDSM really doesn't do it for me, but after I read this book...well lets just say I'd like widen my horizon's. Not the most intense book I've read about this genre but I think it was the best described, definitely some scorch-worthy moments. This book is about two people trying to make a Dom/Sub relationship work. The problem is Ana isn't really the submissive Christian wants her to be. She's got a back bone and finds it hard to meet all his demands, he does compromise a lot with her and he really struggles to give her more than just a sexual relationship. It really broke me heart watching these two walk a tight rope of emotions around each other, they both try so hard to accommodate the others needs but Christian is unwilling to budge on certain things. (eg: he won't let her touch him on the chest or affectionately, only sexually.) So he clearly has some issues and refuses to talk about it. My favorite moments were when we see his teasing and affectionate side, he's never felt this way about someone before so it's all new to him. The ending...OMG...THE ENDING! Thank god the second book comes out in September or I would have to crawl under the sheets and sob hysterically. Lets just say it's a heart wrenching end to the book. Well worth the read though, really enjoyed this book and can't wait for number two.

A wonderful and brisk primer on the helpful wisdom of Marcel Proust!
