This was a fun book to read, particularly as I've been engrossed with theory at school. But, it often felt contrived--the story was at the mercy of the philosophy. But, the twists and turns were quite appropriate for the exploration of philosophy, making it quite intriguing, particularly in the last 75 pages or so. Be warned, it was 500 pages long, and took me months and months to read (as I read other things, of course), but I'm glad I read it.

A most excellent body of work from one of Science fictions best Authors.
