I enjoyed the first Gideon Crewe story, but felt they had more to do with this character. In this second outing Gideon crewe hits his stride. THe story is exciting and fast paced with complex characters and a nice number of twists and turns. Okay I did figure out what was going an before Gideon, butI never mind that. It means the clues are all there for the reader. Excellent setting, heart-stopping potential threat(s), and the kind of quality writing we expect from Preston and Child. I am now as hooked on Gideon as I already was on Pendergast. Keep these coming.
