An excellent book on trusting God despite your circumstances. It is another book that I re-read, and I would recommend it to anyone who is struggling with suffering or who undoubtedly will suffer as a Christian. Bridges focuses on God's character in our difficult situations, rather than what we feel or see.

Another one of those books I was assigned to read for its racy poco quality. And it had that definitely. Another nice aspect was the language: very clear, poetic prose throughout, thus giving the book a nice narrative drive. However, in the end I wasn't that much impressed. Sorry Jamaica, but I don't suppose I'll ever read another book of yours again. Liked this one though.
