** spoiler alert ** This book was pretty good. It started out interesting, and it ended pretty well, but some of the stuff in the middle dragged on and on and ON. Also, I agree with some of the other reviews, the final chapter was just far-fetched. Oh! And I wanted to mention, there's a letter in an actual envelope, tucked into the book jacket - it's from one of the main characters to his wife. I didn't notice it right away, and I'm surprised it was still there, since this was a book I checked out from the library. Just wanted to mention that, though, because I wouldn't have thought to look for it.
