Bilmiyorum. Otostopçunun serisini beğenmek istiyorum * ama sanırım Dirk Gently'den şımarık olduğumu düşünüyorum. Sürekli olarak ileriye doğru hareket etmeyen kitaplarla ilgili bir sorunum yok, ancak belirli bir noktada, mükemmel kelimeler takma ve müthiş bir mizah anlayışı sadece hikaye eksikliği için uydurmuyor.

I won this here on Goodreads as one of the First Reads giveaways. This book was written very well. It was just hard to read. It is a very raw, realistic view of war. It is so hard to imagine what it would be like trying to live in and try to escape a war zone as an adult, let alone what it would be like as an orphaned child! I'm glad that June was able to find happiness in her life and that she did have some closure at the end of it.

I enjoyed this story a lot- and it really made me think. The ending was a little anemic for my taste, but a satisfying romance (without graphic details- I was surprised to see a Jude Deveraux romance without any bodice-ripping!), an intriguing story, and characters that I really cared about.
