Film, üç kadının duygularını kitabın yaptığı gibi yakalayamıyor. 20. yüzyılın farklı yıllarında yaşayan üç kadın garip bir şekilde paralel yaşamlar yaşıyor ve Virginia Woolf'un "Bayan Dalloway" adlı kitabı ile birbirine bağlı. Kadınlardan biri günümüzde New York'ta çok başarılı bir yayıncı, biri 1950'lerden huzursuz bir ev hanımı, diğeri ise Virginia Woolf'un kendisi.

I couldn't get into this one - read about half way through and realized I wasn't getting anything out of it. Couldn't relate to the characters, really didn't care what was happening in the plot.

I read this book in high school, a few friends and I were given copies by our school social worker in an attempt to scare us from the world of drugs. This book became a bible to some of them, but not in a good way and to me... it was pure drivel. It's terribly written and the least bit believable. It's said to be a diary but it feels like someone wrote it to pass off as a "diary" to preach to youth "Don't do drugs". But it's not all terrible. There are some interesting parts, but most of it is rather boring.
