new adventures of the shopaholic. these books are incredibly stupid, yet compelling. the novelty hasn't quite worn off yet, as the protagonist still manages to amaze me with her ridiculous consumerism and well-meaning deception of friends and family. in this one, she focuses her shopping obsession on the baby in her stomach. presumably, the new one will be about buying things for a newborn. and I will undoubtedly read it.
