Zor bir hikaye. Çok fazla "yardım" olmadığını söylemeye devam etmesine rağmen, sahip olduğu tüm para ve güç ve sahip olduğu yüksek yerlerde arkadaşlar rağmen kendisi için gerçekten üzgün hissettim. Biraz samimiyetsiz görünüyordu.

Bu kitabın beklentileri karşılamadığını hayal kırıklığına uğradım. Karakterler etkilenmedi ve eylem kitabın yaklaşık yarısına kadar alınmadı. Son sahnelerin bir Ömür Boyu filmden çıktığını hissettim, bu yüzden biraz hacklenmişlerdi.

Proberly my favourite book EVER! I loved the story and the darkness of the book. The fact it was narrated by death and was about German citizens during the war made it unique and stand out from other books about WW2.

I picked this up after hearing that it's just the thing for severe Wire withdrawl. And it's true-- you get the same intricate plotting, complex character development, un-aestheticized writing and moments of quiet-yet-wrenching tragedy. The dueling dual protagonists strongly resemble a less insubordinate McNulty and a later-season Bodie.

What an amazing read. It is an easy read taking me two days to read it from start to end. It may have come off as a better book to me for two reasons. One I am very interested in Bob Marley's music and secondly on my honeymoon in January my wife and I took the bus trip from Ocho Rios to Bob's birthplace/resting place Nine Mile. Mother Booker focuses on Bob the person and not so much the musical part of his life. A lot of the book gives the story of his final days on earth and his beliefs in the Rastafarian religion.

It made me want to be a spy ... but later a journalist...
