Aslında bu kitabın bir kütüphane baskısı var. 80'lerin sonunda baskısı tükenmişti ve Amazon öncesi dönemde bir kopya elde etmenin tek yolu buydu. Artık lisede olduğu kadar derin ve yaşamı değiştiren bir şey bulamasam da, bir arkadaşımın ilk okuduğumda, yine de her kış tekrar okuyorum. Sevgili eski bir arkadaşı ziyaret etmek gibi.

Raw and incredibly honest. That's all I can say about that book. An account of the very first days of the American invasion of Iraq, told by a reporter embeded with the unit that the very tip of the spear. There's no BS, no sugarcoating war and at the same time the author doesn't try to oversell those Marines as heroes. At the very end, you're left to draw your own conclusions.

Kat works for her mother at a midwifery, where her mother tries to mold her, often missing the mother part of mothering. Kat struggles through relationships-friends, families and love. But in it all, she finds her way with the help of her journal. A fun book. I liked the characters-who can't love a girl who does yoga in the hallway! And again, it reminds me that high school can be a rough place to have to pass through. I think there are a lot of teenage girls that will love this book.

This book is genius! Especially if you love languages, trivia questions on obscure languages/regions/cultural habits, and travel. It makes me sad though, that so many languages are dying so rapidly.
