I had a hard time getting into this book. It starts slow and I probably wouldn't have kept reading if it wasn't our bookclub book for the month. Now that I'm more than half through it, I'm enjoying it much more. It really makes you appreciate the comforts of life and the safety we so often take for granted. I finished and did enjoy this story. I won't say it is a favorite, but it is enjoyable.
