There's a quality to this story that I don't even know how to describe. I guess there are people who love The Left Hand of Darkness and people who haven't read it, because I'm not sure how anything else is possible.

I enjoyed this book a great deal. I had the flu when I read it, but I picked it up and read it in 2 fell swoops. It involves two people who go underground after a political bombing and then various chapters are told from the points of view of the 2 and other people involved in their lives. Half is set near my old house in Seattle, which may be part of the reason I liked it so much.
