Having a history and background in the south, families ties, and a black day helper, this book was especially relevant. An absolutely wonderful read; another recommended by my wife, Zoe.

This book is very whimsical - all of the pictures of women joyfully riding their bicycles and velocipedes brought a smile to my face. Although it is short, Macy packs a ton of information into the book. The history of bicycling branches out into women's fashion, women's health, religion, and suffrage - it's cool to see all of these connections emerge throughout the story.
