Interesting story, and well told. Too much football - you would really have to like soccer to enjoy the book fully.

Wow, there was a lot of plot. Not really about knitting, knitting was the backdrop, more about the group of girls. Hated the ending. Also because there was so much going on, I didn't really identify and root for any of the characters. Some of the plot is a little out there too. Really quick read though. Because the plot was so packed you really breezed through it.

Cute but not necessarily essential book about a kid who NEEDS the monster under his bed to be able to sleep, and the way the kid struggles when his monster goes fishing.

This is one of the finest century-spanning novels I have ever read (listened to). Go Arthur C. Clarke! I wish there were more science fiction of this caliber.

I know I've read this collection at least twice before. I very seldom read books more than once which should indicate the power these stories have. The first few stories read like they are written by a very talented high school or college person and progress in nuance to that of a very talented professional writer and observer of human nature. The character Nick Adams is the prototype for many if not all of the Hemingway protagonists to come.
