I finished this last night. I started it about 3 days ago and never got around to finishing it because I was kind of disheartened that I didn't have The Stray by DKS, too. But after Jeralyn bought it, I guess it kind of motivated me to finish this book. And finish this book, I did! 03-02-11, 11:52PM-- Aww. The Water Horse is such a nice story. I thought, while going into it, that it would be a boring story (hell, I even slept a while ago while reading it), but after reading it.. Gosh! So nice! It's a simple children's book, but I really liked it. It shows the deep connection that pets and their respective owners can share and nurture. It was nice seeing the family's relationship with Crusoe grow. :D They even trained him, and surprisingly, he was very easy to train. Almost like a dog! If only my dogs were trainable, though. Hahaha. I liked the parts where things were in Crusoe's POV. It was funny and different. It worked! It added very subtle humor. Totally love Crusoe. This book leaves you with a "WHAT IF?" feeling. What if the water horse really exists? What if, after visiting Loch Ness, and shouting for Crusoe, you'll be meeting a big monster-like creature? Seems possible. Or maybe that's just my imagination wishing and hoping. One thing I know for sure- I'll be researching more on this topic tomorrow! Great book! --11:55PM
