هو "البستان" حقا وقد فاضت جوانبه بالزهور على كل لون. يأخذنا المخزنجي معه في هذا الكتاب القصصي في عوالم الفيزيقيات والسيكولوجيات والباراسيكولوجيات كما قَسَّم كتابه. قصص المخزنجي فائقة الرقة والعذوبة والجمال والعمق. أحببت بشكل خاص قصص: العميان - ومع ذلك.. ورغم ذلك.. - يوسف إدريس - معانقة العالم - صوت نفير نحاسي صغير - خمس دقائق للبحر - لعلها تنام - البستان. قراءة "البستان" تجربة لا غنى عنها لكل من يبحث عن الجمال، وما وراءه. أحمد الديب أبريل 2009

Amazing book - well worth reading and the sequels. I love to be surprised by books. I couldn't put it down - until I had to get in my car (this will teach me to read while walking), set it down on the top of the car to get the keys, and forgot it - drove away, it flew off of the car in the middle of an intersection. I know because I went back to get it when I realized and had to pick up pieces from the middle of the road. Felt like I killed someone...had to go out and buy a new one immediately to find out how it ended.
