This was an excellent introduction to the world of non-monogamy and the many challenges and bonuses that it brings with it. It left me feeling happy that everyone else has been through difficulties but the rewards are (or can be) great on the other side. The medical, legal and resource stuff is all very US-specific, unfortunately, although it is only fair since the community there does seem to have a few years' headstart on our rather backward viewpoints.

I admired Dex and Em. How they end up being destined lovers. Hope to find my own Em. Finally, I can see it in motion.

An excellent, excellent book!! I couldn't put it down. This book introduces Cotton Malone, who is featured in The Alexandria Link too. This book is a must read- fast paced and races all over Europe though it focuses mostly in Copenhagen and Southern France in a region called the Languedoc. Those that liked the DaVinci Code will like this even more!!

Mumford also raises critical points surrounding the effects of the gridiron plan in american cities: "Even today our parks our what our cities should be, and are not." Olmsted, Lloyd Wright, and others eerge as heroes in a disintegrated landscape, while others rushing to build in industrial or romantic forms collapse into bad judgement, mere facaderie, and hollow forms.
