I think in the end, this book is about second chances, forgiveness and friendship...a good story.

the author is well positioned to comment on the state of global poverty and the prospects for its alleviation. Interesting anecdotes, but I found the tone to be a bit self-congratulatory and some of his conclusions - or "revelations"- to be intuitive to readers with any familiarity of the developing world/Global South.
