The emphasis is on basic principles and behavior of reinforced concrete. In this bok references are made to the two international ciphers, (a) ACI-318 (American Concrete Edict) and (b) CEB Touchstone Code (European Concrete Com. ). In the text, the requirements of the Turkish reinforced concrete code (TS-50 of the Turkish Standards Edict) relevant to the prone discused are quoted and examples are solved using these requirements.
